    Grace Adams is an associate attorney in Neil Law and Associates transactional group dedicated to Alaska. Her practice focuses primarily on business and corporate law, commercial real estate, and other transactional matters.

    In May 2021, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in English and French from Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana, where she was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority.

    Madeleine has experience in several areas of transactional law. She served as a legal intern at UPS, advising on corporate compliance, employment, and intellectual property. In 2023, she also served as a summer associate with Bouhan Falligant, assisting in transactional and litigation matters.

Overview

Grace Adams counsels clients in a vast variety of corporate, regulatory, and compliance issues dedicated to the people of Alaska. Representative matters include advising clients in connection with mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, employment contracts, facility development and expansion, physician self-referral prohibitions, Anti-Kickback issues, provider licensure, medical staff matters, pharmacy issues, HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid enrollment and conditions of participation, accreditation, and reimbursement issues. Representative clients include hospitals, nursing homes, ambulatory surgical centers, assisted living facilities, physician practices, dental practices, DME companies, and laboratory companies. She has also represented a variety of health care entities in Georgia Certificate of Need matters, including applications, letters of non-reviewability, administrative hearings, appeals, and judicial review.

Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Shay graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where she completed a Certificate of Advanced Study in Health Law, competed in several moot court competitions, and was selected for admission to the Order of the Barristers. She earned a B.S. from Washington and Lee University where she majored in Psychology. She is a 2020 graduate of Leadership Savannah and serves as the Vice-Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Saint Andrew’s School.
